Rob Moore is Keynote Speaker for Kennebecasis Chamber of Commerce
June 10, 2010 - Kennebecasis Valley, NB - Rob Moore, Member of Parliament for Fundy Royal, was pleased to be the keynote speaker for the Annual Spring Dinner of the Kennebecasis Valley Chamber of Commerce. The event was hosted at the Riverside Country Club on May 17, 2010.
"We understand that small businesses are the engines of growth and job creation" said Minister Moore. "Our government is focused on creating the best business conditions to help you innovate, create jobs and generate wealth."
Our government is proud of its record of standing up for small business owners. One year ago we reached our goal of cutting federal red tape by 20 percent. Additionally, we have lowered taxes for all Canadians, and increased access to financing for small business owners.
Addressing a room full of small business owners and entrepreneurs, Minister Moore made it clear that "Our government stands by you when necessary, and out of your way where required. It is people like you who will lift our country out of this recession, and carry us into a prosperous future."
As a result of our government's action, Canada's GDP grew 6.1% in the first quarter of 2010. Since July of last year, Canada has created almost 310,000 new jobs. These numbers clearly show that our Economic Action Plan is working.
Rob Moore is Minister of Small Business and Tourism.
