Rob congratulates Will Jones as Beth Quigley of the Kingston Peninsula Heritage Inc. looks on
Kingston Peninsula Heritage benefits from the Young Canada Works Program
August 14th 2009 -- Kingston, NB -- Rob Moore MP for Fundy Royal was pleased to congratulate the Kingston Peninsula Heritage Inc. for being selected to receive funding that enabled them to fund a Heritage Research position. Will Jones who has worked for the group over the past years and who is returning to UNB this fall for his masters Degree in History, was chosen for the position at the John Fisher Memorial Museum.
Young Canada Works is a federal Government program that offers students and recent graduates the chance to put their skills to the test, build career equity, earn money for their education or get started on the right career path.
The Canadian Museums Association administers the program on behalf of the Department of Canadian Heritage.
The goal in 2009 is to place more than 1,250 students in summer work positions in more than 700 Museums across Canada.
Rob Moore is the Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Justice and the MP for Fundy Royal.
