Youth Forum held in Fundy Region
August 20, 2009 -- Sussex Golf and Curling Club -- Young people met with local politicians to discuss what needs to be in place to keep young people in the area.The initiative, organized by Enterprise Fundy, is geared to help close the gap for people aged 35 and younger who have a vision of a more vibrant community that keeps youthful attitudes and ambitions in mind.
Many participants expressed the desire to stay in the region and wanted to discuss ways of not only retaining our youth population but also attracting young individuals and families back to the area. All seemed to be in agreement that the Fundy Region offered unsurpassed natural beauty and potential.
Joining the youth and participating were Fundy Royal MP Rob Moore, MLA Bruce Northrup, MLA Bev Harrison, Mayors of Sussex, Sussex Corner and Hampton as well as councilors from Salisbury and Riverside Albert and Hillsborough.
Rob Moore is the Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Justice and the MP for Fundy Royal.
